Authentic WWII M1 Thompson .45 caliber submachine gun. Manufactured by Savage. This is the rare Thompson variant which came out during WWII in an attempt to streamline 1928A1 Thompson production time. It preceded the more common M1A1 Thompson with the fixed firing pin. These original M1 Thompsons came from the factory with a floating firing pin. Typically, bolts on M1's have been replaced with the M1A1 bolt, but this gun is authentic. Comes with original accessories including WWII "NobuckL" sling, 6 magazines in authentic 1944 Marine Corps canvas carrying cases, cleaning rod and an original, virtually new USGI canvas Thompson submachine gun cover. This Thompson has been professionally reblued and is a beautiful specimen. Upper serial #2182XX; lower #3329XX. Many M1 and M1A1 Thompsons have been modified to handle drum magazines. This gun is unmodified and in its original configuration. Fully transferable C&R gun; transfers to your dealer tax-free.
